Plenty of space

As Vauxhall’s biggest SUV offering, the Grandland X needed to offer people a lot of room to both sit and carry equipment, and it has done just that. With all of the seats up, the boot has a 514-litre space, but when all of the FlexFix seats are folded down flat, users will find more than 1,650 litres of load space – which is more than enough for most trips. Passenger space is also excellent – even for taller passengers in the back.

All models also come with LED daytime running lights and rear parking sensors as standard, while more expensive versions come with a larger touchscreen, satellite navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot and front parking sensors.

Safety tech included

As with most other cars nowadays, the Grandland X comes with safety equipment from standard. On the base SE model, the car comes with lane departure warning, high beam assist and cruise control with speed limiter, while the next level up – Tech Line Nav – gets the Safety Pack that adds a driver drowsiness alert system, forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking and lane assist, as well as the side blind spot alert. If safety is what you’re after more than anything, then the Tech Line Nav is an excellent option.

Customers then have a choice of a wide range of colours and equipment options on top of those so they can find the right spec for them. Those include the Park and Go packs, which add advanced park assist so the vehicle can guide itself into a space.
