To improve the performance of the Ford Focus ST diesel, tuning company Mountune has released an upgrade kit to enhance the model’s output.
The m460D power upgrade kit is said to offer 6.5 per cent more horsepower – equating to 20bhp – and an extra 50Nm of torque, that Mountune says provides “increased real-world performance”.
If fitted, the upgrade can reduce the 0-60mph time by 0.7 seconds, from 7.9 seconds to 7.2 seconds.
Included in the kit are an OBDII flashing cable, dongle, performance calibration and a Mountune badge, which can be installed at home, at Mountune’s HQ or by a Ford technician.
For those wanting to perform the upgrade at home, the kit costs £429, but if customers choose to have it fitted by Mountune themselves, it costs just £350.

David Moore, Mountune global brand manager, said: “Mountune has been producing market-leading power upgrades for over a decade and this is the first time we’ve been able to unlock the potential in a ST diesel product.
“The standard Focus ST diesel is a great base car, but with the m460D kit installed we’ve been able to make it smoother, quicker and generally even more fun to drive.”
The kit can only be fitted to the manual version.
