Ford introduces new Ranger MS-RT pick-up

The new model brings more aggressive styling to this best-selling truck

Ford has extended its partnership with vehicle customisers MS-RT by unveiling a new version of its Ranger pick-up.

The Ranger is already a popular model with aftermarket modification companies, but Ford is now officially customising it with Wales-based MS-RT, which already turns its hand to many of the brand’s vans.

Based on the high-spec Wildtrak specification, the Ranger MS-RT features a honeycomb carbon-effect grille with integrated fog lights, along with 20-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels. It has also been widened thanks to wheelarch extensions and new side sills, with buyers having the option of Frozen White, Sea Grey or Agate Black paintwork.

The inside is much the same as the standard version, featuring leather upholstery with orange stitching, heated seats and an eight-inch touchscreen, though new scuff plates and door mats are fitted with this MS-RT model.

Under the bonnet sits the same 210bhp 2.0-litre biturbo diesel engine from the standard Ranger, which comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. An optional Maxhaust app-controlled soundbox is available to enhance the sound of the Ranger, too.

Prices are yet to be announced for the new MS-RT Ranger, though it will be available through Ford’s standard dealer network from summer 2021.
