Heavily revised Hyundai i30 teased ahead of Geneva Motor Show debut

The facelifted model will be unveiled alongside the all-new i20 supermini.

Hyundai has revealed the first teaser images of its new facelifted i30, which is set to look rather different to the current model.

It’s set to look sharper than the current version, with new V-shaped LED daytime running lights featuring alongside a version of Hyundai’s trademark cascading front grille with an updated mesh pattern. This teased model in N-Line trim shows large air intakes and an accented front splitter.

While no teaser images of the rear have been shown, Hyundai says that a new rear bumper and lights have been added, along with new 16-, 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior also boasts a new digital instrument cluster and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen – the latter featuring on the updated IONIQ.

Hyundai has also said that there will be an N-Line version of the i30 Tourer (estate) for the first time, as this sporty-looking grade was previously only available on the regular five-door hatchback and the Fastback.

The i30 is being officially unveiled next month at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, where it will be showcased alongside the all-new i20 supermini – a model that’s set to implement a new design language for Europe based on its ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ theme.

Further information about both models are expected in the run-up to the unveils.
