Here’s our first undisguised look at the Skoda Kodiaq SUV

Skoda has published new images of its new Kodiaq SUV, giving us our best hints yet in regards to what the car looks like.

Skoda has released teaser images of its new Kodiaq SUV which show the car undisguised for the first time.

Up until now, the Skoda Kodiaq has only been seen in either concept art or, more recently, testing in a heavy disguise.

While a clear, full view of the car’s entire body has not been released, the new teaser images do reveal quite a lot about how the car will look. The pictures include close-ups of the front-left side of the car, the rear-left side, another left-side view showing the windows and a close-up of one of the alloy wheels.

We can tell from the images that styling-wise the new Skoda Kodiaq has headlights and taillights that are very similar to those found on the latest Superb. The taillights use LED technology as standard and such technology will also be available for the headlights too.

The front grille appears to be chunkier and more prominent than on other current Skodas though, which is not a surprise when you consider this is a large SUV that will seat up to seven. The alloy wheels have sharp-looking, V-shaped detailing which is bound to help give the Kodiaq more presence on the road.

Skoda will fully reveal the design and details of the Kodiaq when the SUV makes its world premiere in Berlin on 1 September 2016. We’ll be attending the Kodiaq’s premiere so look out for more coverage on the new Skoda from Car Keys when it is unveiled.
