Here’s the 2017 Kia Picanto

Kia has revealed the new, third-generation Picanto city car ahead of its first public appearance this March at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

This new iteration of Kia’s city car will be sold only as a five-door model, since the three-door version of its predecessor always lagged behind in sales comparatively.

The new Picanto is more practical than before because while its overall length stays the same, the wheelbase is actually 15mm longer and the interior is more cleverly packaged for the benefit of passengers.

Kia says the new Picanto will also offer a wider range of colours for customers, as the manufacturer looks to appeal more to young drivers. The official pictures published of the newly revealed Picanto show the car in its new sports-inspired GT Line trim.

Details on the interior have yet to be specified, but the new Picanto does appear to have a new, larger and more sophisticated infotainment device inside.

The GT-Line is expected to be the range-topping trim for the new Picanto and it will likely start pricing at around £12,000 whereas the cheapest models will likely start from just under £9,000.
