Honda reveals pricing for new CR-V

The new version of the SUV is available with just one engine, four trim levels and two seating layouts

Honda has released specifications for the new version of the CR-V, which starts from £25,995 and is available in four trim levels.

The CR-V is only fitted with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that comes with both manual and CVT transmission options, as well as two- or four-wheel drive.

The top-powered 187bhp guise of the engine is paired to the CVT, while the 170bhp-tuned unit comes with the six-speed manual.

Honda also offers customers the choice of five seats on all trims and a seven-seater alternative on SE and SR specs.

All models as standard come with parking sensors, a rear view camera and Honda’s Sensing safety features, such as collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.

SR and EX models gain blind spot warning and cross traffic monitoring, with the CVT models also get low speed follow.

Equipment-wise, SR models come with smart entry and start, leather upholstery, active cornering lights and front windscreen de-icer, with the more premium EX also getting a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, hands-free power tailgate, heated rear seats and a panoramic sunroof.

Phil Webb, Honda UK head of cars, said: “The fifth generation CR-V once again raises the bar with the amount of equipment it comes with as standard at base grade.

“In an incredibly competitive marketplace, the new CR-V will stand out for sophisticated and sporty design alone and we have strong sales expectations for this car.”

New CR-V models will be coming to dealerships in September.
