Many of us will be struggling financially during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
With many out of work and others not getting as much money in as usual, the current crisis might not mean that you feel you’re in a position to buy a new car.
However, should you fancy a motor, there should be some great offers out there – not least from Fiat, which is offering a £500 discount on all its cars, though only for a short period. Here’s what you need to know.
How do I get my £500 discount?
With Fiat acknowledging that its showrooms are currently closed, the discount applies to dealerships once they reopen for sales.
It couldn’t be simpler to get, as all you have to is visit the Fiat UK website and claim a £500 voucher that is used to put towards your finance deposit for any new Fiat. You just have to submit a few quick details and then the £500 voucher will be emailed to you straight away.
When does the offer need to be claimed by?
You need to act quickly to be able to take advantage of the offer, as you’re only able to claim the voucher online until May 18. After this, though, the offer will run until August 31, though your new Fiat must have been ordered AND registered by that date. It means you can’t wait until September to be able to have the latest registration plate.
What are the other terms and conditions?
The £500 voucher will need to be brought with you when you visit a showroom once they reopen, and you’ll have to pick from selected stock vehicles – meaning you’re unlikely to be able to have a bespoke-built model.
Does it run alongside other offers?
The Fiat website makes no mention that its offers don’t run alongside Fiat’s other existing offers, so there are potentially big savings to be made, with plenty of Fiats available with current offers for less than £200 per month. Large existing deposit contributions are already on offer, too – including £2,750 towards a Tipo, £2,275 on a 500 and £1,250 on a Panda.
What Fiats are available?
While subject to stock, the £500 voucher offer can be claimed across the Fiat range.
This includes the 500 city car, the 500C convertible, 500L MPV and 500X crossover. Outside of the 500, you can also choose the Tipo (which is available as a hatchback, estate and saloon) and the Panda, which is also available with a new mild hybrid powertrain.
