Hyundai adds N Line trim to i30 Fastback

This is the second model to be given the N Line spec and offers sportier features than the standard Fastback.

Hyundai has added the N Line specification to the i30 Fastback, after the trim was introduced to the hatchback variant earlier this year.

The trim adds design features inspired by the N performance range as well as altering its setup for improved driving feel.

Fitted under the bonnet is a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine developing 138bhp, with Hyundai amending it for an improved note and responsiveness.

The i30 Fastback N Line also comes with Michelin Performance tyres wrapped around 18-inch alloy wheels which house larger brakes.

Customers can also opt for a smaller 1.0-litre turbo-petrol that develops 119bhp, with that variant offered with 17-inch alloy wheels.

Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Hyundai Motor Europe vice president for marketing and products, said: “Our second Hyundai model available with the new trim, the i30 Fastback N Line, enables even more customers to experience the N feeling.

“The i30 Fastback N Line combines the elegance of our five-door coupe and a distinguished selection of dynamic N Line features. Our N Line trim is made for customers who want to spice up their i30.”

The exterior of the Fastback N Line comes with silver accenting alongside Hyundai’s cascading grille, with the South Korean brand also fitting a sporty rear bumper and diffuser.

Hyundai fits N-branded sports seats and a sports steering wheel, with metal pedals and an N-specific shifter also applied.

Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but expect it be around £21,500. The Fastback N Line will go on sale towards the end of this year.
