Hyundai announces pricing for i30 N Line

The hot hatch-inspired trim line adds sportier bodywork and improvements to the chassis to make it more dynamic

Hyundai has released pricing and specifications for the i30 N Line, with the hot hatch-derived model starting from £21,255.

Drawing inspiration from the 2017 i30 N, the N Line trim has been added to enhance the standard i30 hatchback and comes with dynamic upgrades to make it sportier.

The N Line is fitted with the same front and rear bumpers as the i30 N, and comes with additional silver detailing as well as N Line badging. Other exterior features include a twin exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot PS4 tyres and LED rear lights.

Inside, Hyundai fits sports seats, a leather steering wheel, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and DAB radio.

The South Korean brand has also improved the i30’s brakes, suspension and engine response to improve the model’s performance in N Line guise.

Under the bonnet is a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol that produces 138bhp and is paired to a six-speed manual transmission – with the option of a seven-speed automatic.

An N Line + trim is also available that adds suede and leather upholstery to the seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, LED headlights and automatic rain-sensing wipers.

Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai UK president and chief executive officer, said: “The i30 N has had a tremendous reception from both automotive media and our customers since its launch early this year but we understand many customers ‘want the show but don’t need the go.’ - N Line will give customers that balance of looks and performance”

Prices for the N Line start from £21,255, while the N Line + has a starting point of £23,255. It goes on sale from September 3.
