Hyundai is set to reveal an all-new model…

Little is known about the new South Korean car, but it could be a new SUV…

Hyundai has teased an all-new model that’s said to be exclusive to European markets.

An image released today shows very little, merely giving a snapshot of the rear of the car. Seen in this picture is a sloping roofline, a floating-effect roof element and a section of the rear light.

It’s said this new model ‘will offer customers new exterior and interior design, as well as new connectivity and safety features which will make it a leader in its class’.

Speculation suggests this could be a new entry-level SUV for Europe — a version of the Hyundai Venue sold in other markets. Revealed earlier this year, the Venue is the smallest of the South Korean firm’s range of SUVs but will not be sold here in the UK.

As for what’s powering this new car, it’s likely to feature a choice of petrol and diesel engines, with the potential for electrification. It could utilise the same EV underpinnings as the KONA Electric and sister firm Kia’s e-Niro, or potentially a hybrid powertrain sourced from petrol-electric variants of both cars.

It won’t be too long before all is spilled on this latest Hyundai with it set to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, taking place from September 12 to 22.
