Jaguar E-Pace Achieves World Record with a Sensational Barrel Roll

In one final test, the Jaguar E-PACE earned itself in the Guinness World Records for a successful attempt at the Furthest Barrel Roll in a Production Vehicle.

The new Jaguar E-PACE has flown in to the Guinness World Records with a successful attempt at the Furthest Barrel Roll in a Production Vehicle.

The compact SUV is set to be released this autumn and Jaguar gave the motoring world a taster earlier this month, releasing a video that highlighted the cars all-terrain capabilities.

With 25-months of extensive testing in various locations all around the globe, we seen the E-PACE display its full off-road and on-road capabilities. But the trailer teased one more ultimate trial, promising to demonstrate the vehicles agility, performance and drivability.

In the E-PACE’s final-test, the manufacturer slung the car over a 15.3-metre-long jump in a 270-degree corkscrew “barrel-roll” in honour of the late Roger Moore.

Conducted at ExCel London, professional stunt driver Terry Grant required a 160-metre run-up with pin-point precision to make the jump.

Earning his 22nd Guinness World Record Title, Grant made the corkscrew turn with ease and earned both himself and the E-PACE a spot in history.
