Jaguar has released an early New Year’s present in the form of the new and exclusive F-TYPE British Design Edition.
Based on the 375bhp F-TYPE S, the British Design Edition models come outfitted in a trio of patriotic colour swatches inspired by the Union Jack: Caldera Red, Glacier and White and new Ultra Blue.
Other touches to set it apart from the rest of the range include the Sport Design Pack as standard, which adds a gloss black front splitter, body-coloured side sills and a fixed rear spoiler for the coupe.
As well as that, the British Design Editions also feature 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloys, a choice of red or black brake callipers and unique Union Jack badging in place of the red and green S roundel.
Inside, Jet leather comes as standard with a choice of red, ivory or blue colours, alongside exclusive embossed headrests for the seats, carbon fibre trim and a Meridian sound system as standard.
Ian Callum, Jaguar’s director of design, said: “The F-TYPE is a sports car that excites the senses, with a visual drama that is both individual and very British.
Creating the British Design Edition gave us the opportunity to subtly enhance the way the F-TYPE looks – inside and out.”
The British Design Edition models are only available with the 375bhp supercharged V6 engine, though it does come with all-wheel drive as standard, along with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Prices for the Jaguar F-TYPE British Design Edition start from £75,225 for the coupe and £80,390 for the convertible, and it’s available to order now with first deliveries due in the spring.
