Jeep reveals 75th anniversary models

Jeep has revealed new limited edition versions of each car in its current range, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the original Willys Jeep. To celebrate this landmark, Jeep is adding new special edition models for its latest Renegade, Wrangler, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee.

The Renegade and Cherokee are the first of the 75th Anniversary editions to go on sale in the UK. The Wrangler and Grand Cherokee special editions will follow later this year.

For each Anniversary Jeep the differences are in the styling. Every model sports a 75th Anniversary badge, bronze-coloured wheels and various orange exterior highlights. Each new Jeep model apart from the Renegade also has the 75th Anniversary logo stitched within the interior too.

The Jeep Renegade Anniversary edition, priced from £26,795, sports a unique Jungle Green exterior paint job and can use either a 168bhp 1.4-litre petrol unit or a 138bhp 2.0-litre diesel.

Standard kit includes a sunroof with removable panels, bronze-coloured fog lamp bezels, roof rails, and new fabric seats in either Black cloth or Black and Sandstorm cloth with Tangerine stitching.

The Anniversary version of the Cherokee, priced from £38,945, sports a Recon Green paint job and comes with a 197bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine. Kit inside this car includes leather seats with dual tone Tangerine/Pearl stitching, an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen radio, heated steering wheel and a dual pane panoramic sunroof.

Pricing for the Anniversary editions of the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee have yet to be confirmed, but the former will sport a Sarge Green exterior finish while the latter comes in Recon Green.

Standard kit for the Wrangler Anniversary model includes low gloss bronze headlamp surrounds and Ombre Mesh leather seats. The Grand Cherokee Anniversary edition, meanwhile, includes 20-inch light alloy wheels, satellite navigation, adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning.
