South Korean manufacturer Kia has revealed pricing and specification details for the refreshed Optima range.
Both feature an altered exterior design including a new front bumper, a chrome finish on the brand’s ‘tiger-nose’ grille and new head, fog and taillights.
The interior has also been revised, with a new steering wheel and satin chrome trim fitted to both models, with the centrepiece either a seven- or eight-inch touchscreen infotainment display that has satellite navigation and can run both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A 360-degree around view monitor can be also fitted, as well as a Harmon Kardon sound system, a wireless smartphone charging pad and leather upholstery.
Under the bonnet is a 1.6-litre diesel engine that produces 134bhp and 320Nm of torque, with customers given the option of either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission or a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 241bhp and is exclusive to the Sportswagon GT.

Available in three trims – 2, 3 and GT-Line – the Sportswagon is also available with an exclusive GT trim that includes sporty styling. The Saloon is only available with grades 2 and 3.
Kia also fits the Optima with the brand’s latest safety systems, including driver attention warning, forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, high beam assist and LED headlights.
Prices for the Optima saloon start from £22,260, while the Sportswagon has a starting point of £23,100. Both models are on sale now.
