To start 2019 with some interesting new offerings, Kia has revealed two special edition models – the Stonic Mixx and Picanto Wave.
Both come with their own specific paint jobs and high-end equipment levels – with customer able to order both models now.
Starting from £18,200, the Stonic Mixx comes with a Clear White body and orange contrasting roof, with further orange accents continued into the cabin to complement the grey faux leather upholstery.
Standard kit includes 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, privacy glass, reversing camera, leather steering wheel, a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen with DAB radio and smartphone capability, LED daytime running lights and bi-function projection headlights with static bending that directs the headlight beam through the corners.
Under the bonnet of the Mixx is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine developing 118bhp and 171Nm of torque that can be paired to a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. 0-60mph can be achieved in 9.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 115mph.
For the Picanto Wave, Kia adds Celestial Blue paintwork with denim-effect cloth and faux leather upholstery. It’s also fitted with 15-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and reversing camera.
Other additions include air conditioning, seven-inch infotainment touchscreen with six-speaker sound system and smartphone connectivity and wireless mobile charging.
The Picanto Wave is fitted with a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 66bhp and 96Nm of torque, meaning the city car can get from 0-60mph in 13.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 100mph.
Prices for the special edition start from £11,895.
As with all Kia models, both special editions come with a seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, which can be transferred to the next owner should the car be sold on.
