Maserati introduces range-wide, limited-edition Royale Special Series grade

Just 100 examples of this trim will be produced across the Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte.

Maserati has introduced a new ultra-luxurious trim level across its range, with only a handful of examples to be made. This is the Royale Special Series.

Available for the Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte, just 100 cars will be produced in this highly desirable specification. It pays tribute to the 1986 Maserati Quattroporte Royale, of which just 51 were made.

A choice of two colours are available for the trim — Blu Royale and Verde Royale — with bespoke 21-inch alloy wheels on all cars adding to the elegant look.

Inside the car, there’s a choice of two upholsteries — Zegna Pelletessuta Cuoio or two-tone Pieno Fiore leather in Black/Cuoio. The former is a material made exclusively for Maserati and is created from thin strips of Nappa leather.

Building on that, high gloss inserts and a ‘One of 100’ plate features across all three Royale variants. A Bowers & Wilkins audio system, an electric sunroof and privacy glass are all luxury features added to the package for no extra cost too.

Other items fitted as standard include Cold Weather, Premium and Driving Assistance Plus packages on all models, as well as an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that plays host to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Order books are now open for the Maserati Royale Special Series models, with deliveries scheduled for March 2020. Pricing starts at £78,900 for the Ghibli, £85,300 for the Levante and £103,150 for the Quattroporte.
