Maserati Levante Trofeo kicks up a storm at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Performance SUV makes its UK dynamic debut at this year’s Goodwood headliner.

Maserati’s Levante Trofeo has been put to the test at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

It was a UK dynamic debut for the performance SUV, which uses a Ferrari-sourced 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine to develop 572bhp. Over the course of the FoS weekend, the Levante completed a number of runs along the famous hill climb — with drivers such as celebrity chef James Martin and Matteo Panini, owner of the Panini Museum, one of the most famous Maserati collections in the world.

As well as a boost in power, the Levante Trofeo benefits from a number of upgrades to exploit the SUV’s performance potential. Maserati’s Integrated Vehicle Control System features a new ‘Corsa’ mode with launch control to sharpen the machine, while a racier visual comes courtesy of a new aluminium bonnet with dual vents, a set of 21-inch aluminium wheels, a carbon-fibre front splitter, front grille blades, side skirts and rear valance. Trofeo badging completes the look.

A special Trofeo Launch Edition is available, limited to just 50 examples across Europe. A choice of three unique exterior colours are available — namely Blue Emozione matte, Giallo Modenese and Rosso Magma. Inside the car, leather sports seats can be had in black with the choice of red, blue or yellow contrast stitching.
