Mazda has revealed a new special edition version of the MX-5 convertible, called the MX-5 Arctic, which goes on sale in Britain in February 2017 and is priced at £20,995.
This is the second Arctic special edition Mazda has made for the MX-5, having previously made such a car for the second-generation version.
The winter-themed version of the sports car is based on the SE-L Nav specification with the 129bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine, but the Arctic is £800 more expensive compared to this spec. Only 400 examples of the MX-5 Arctic will be available.
Enhancements introduced by the MX-5 Arctic include more standard equipment and a Blue Reflext Metallic paint job for the exterior plus contrasting bright silver design cues dotted around.
More kit than SE-L Nav
Featuring with the main paint job are 16-inch Silver alloy wheels, a silver windscreen surround, silver wing mirrors and silver headrest hoops. For the interior, there are silver cup holder rings and chrome scuff plates. There’s also a numbered limited edition badge on the dashboard.
The MX-5 Arctic adds more equipment to the list usually included with the SE-L Nav trim. This includes leather seats, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and rear parking sensors.
