Mazda unveils limited edition MX-5 Sport Recaro

Mazda has unveiled the limited-edition MX-5 Sport Recaro, reinforcing the boisterous charm of the best-selling roadster with an extra dose of sportiness.

Mazda has unveiled a new limited edition version of the all-new fourth-generation MX-5, called the MX-5 Sport Recaro.

Based on the Sport Nav trim, the Sport Recaro gets additional styling enhancements and a range of extra kit to further reinforce the sporting character of the world’s best-selling two-seater roadster.

Exclusive to the limited edition model is a unique aero kit which includes a rear spoiler along with front, side and rear skirts, plus 17-inch diamond cut alloys with an engraved MX-5 logo.

Inside, it gets an Alcantara dashboard panel and alloy pedals, plus unique floor mats exclusive to the Sport Recaro model and Recaro seats with Alcantara upholstery all as standard.

Designed to deliver better lumbar and lateral support for drivers, the seats come with a heating function and also sport red piping, which matches with the red stitching on the dash and gear gaiter.

Equipment carried over from the regular Sport Nav model includes LED headlights, a leather steering wheel and climate control, plus DAB digital radio, a Bose sound system and integrated sat-nav.

Rain sensing wipers, smart keyless entry and cruise control are also standard, along with Mazda’s MZD Connect infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen and rear parking sensors.

The MX-5 Sport Recaro’s dynamic set-up features sports suspension with Bilstein dampers and a limited slip differential to maintain the MX-5’s famous engaging and agile drive.

If you think the Sport Recaro might be for you, you’ll have to be quick about it, as only 600 individually-numbered models will be available. Order books are open now, with prices starting from £24,295.
