McLaren will reportedly unleash a new track-focused, non-hybrid hypercar called the P15 early next year.

McLaren will reportedly unleash a new track-focused, non-hybrid hypercar called the P15 early next year.

Although unconfirmed, sources in the industry are reporting that McLaren plan to unveil the roaster in early 2018, most likely at the next Geneva Motor Show.

The P15 is rumoured to possess a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 which seems peculiar considering the manufacturers development of the newer M840T 4.0-litre V8.

If the P15 is to overshadow the P1, McLaren will have their work cut out for them, since the P1’s hybrid hypercar mechanics and athletics are already admired so much.

Although it could be argued that the P1 LM by Lanzante Motorsport took the car to the next level, the P15 model is said to set a new precedent for McLaren hypercars.

Though the existence of the car is still to be confirmed by McLaren representatives. An official sneak peek of the car later this year is possible.
