Customers are now able to order the diesel version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, with prices starting from £94,000.
The G 350 d is fitted with the most powerful diesel engine ever for a G-Class – the 3.0-litre six-cylinder oil-burner develops 282bhp and 600Nm of torque.
That gets the G-Class from 0-60mph in 7.2 seconds, while it is able to reach a top speed of 124mph. With the smallest 20-inch alloys fitted, the G 350 d can achieve 29.4mpg on the combined cycle and emissions of 252g/km CO2.
Standard equipment on the G 350 d includes 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloys, high performance LED headlights, electrically adjustable and heated wing mirrors, leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, two 12.3-inch displays combined in a single panel and three-zone climate control.
The assistance package is also fitted, which features blind spot assist and active distance assist.
Multiple option packs are also on offer, such as the £5,995 Premium package that adds the Multibeam intelligent light system, adaptive air suspension, Burmester sound system, air ionisation for the air conditioning, sliding sunroof and parking pack with 360-degree camera.
The Night package is also available, which adds black 20-inch AMG alloys, darkened indicator and tail lights, tinted glass and a series of black exterior detailing features. It’s priced from £1,700.
For £1,750, customers can add the Winter package, which adds a heated windscreen and auxiliary heater. A heated steering wheel can also be added for £275.
So passengers in the back don’t get bored, the £2,995 Rear Seat Entertainment package adds two 10-inch touchscreen displays, a digital TV tuner and internet access.
Deliveries for the G 350 d will begin in the summer.
The AMG-tuned G 63 is also available, with prices for the fast version of the G-Class starting from £143,305.
