Mercedes-Benz reveals specification for X-Class pick-up

The brand’s first pick-up will start from £27,310 and comes with three trim options.

German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the details on the specifications for its new X-Class pick-up.

Coming exclusively in a double-cab layout, the X-Class is available in three trim levels – Pure, Progressive and Power – that come with many safety systems and an infotainment system as standard.

It also comes with two power options from the 2.3-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine – 160bhp and 187bhp – which is paired to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.

In Pure spec, the X-Class is at its most basic. With halogen lights, a matt black front grille, fabric upholstery, semi-automatic air conditioning, 17-inch alloy wheels and multiple storage options, the Pure trim offers a more durable experience. The base 160bhp diesel is the only engine option.

With Progressive, Mercedes offers both engine units and a more premium finish, such as aluminium kick plates, chrome door handles and a matt silver front grille. You also get load-securing rails, heated exterior mirrors, 17-inch silver alloys and black fabric trim.

Optional extras include 19-inch alloys, the Parking Package – which adds parking sensors and cameras – and a differential lock for taking the X-Class off-road.
