Mercedes-Benz to offer digital services adapter for older vehicles

Customers with vehicles built from 2002 onwards can get the Mercedes-Benz me adapter fitted for free, so they can keep track of the model’s status.

Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will now be offering customers with older models the opportunity to fit an adapter to their car so they can access information on the car’s status.

The Mercedes-Benz me adapter can be applied to models built from 2002 onwards, including the W169 A-Class from 2005 and W211 E-Class from 2002.

When the device is fitted to the vehicle, the customer has made a Mercedes-Benz me account through the application and the adaptor has been activated by a Mercedes retailer, the owners can then access information on the vehicle’s fuel level and mileage, odometer reading, battery voltage, parking time and the next servicing date.

The Mercedes-Benz me app also lets drivers access information on their previous journeys, as well as book the vehicle’s next service and provide the relevant phone numbers for accident and breakdown cover.
