The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman is the ultimate expression of the firm’s luxurious offerings. This isn’t just an S-Class with some bespoke leather, rather a full-on limousine designed to cater to six passengers in supreme comfort — with no expense spared to achieve it.

To keep it ahead of the game, the range-topping model has received a refresh for 2018, giving it a revised look and a host of interior upgrades.

Most notable is a new grille, inspired by the one on the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept from 2016. It features a narrow pinstripe design and stretches across the front of the car.

Also on offer are exquisite two-tone paint finishes, and minimalist 20-inch wheels with a 10-hole design — perfect for the heads of state and royal families set to be escorted around in the huge limousine.

Inside the cabin, new interior finishes are on offer, with Magma Grey, Mahogany Brown, Silk Beige and Deep Sea Blue colours all now available.

There are four seats in the rear cabin, two rear-facing and two electrically-operated executive chairs that also boast reclining backrests, footrests and massaging functions. Another new addition is a front-view camera, that can give those in the back a view of the road ahead even when they’ve requested their chauffeur close the partition between driver and passenger.

There’s also a revised version of the V12 engine available in the car. Made by Mercedes-AMG, it develops 630bhp and 1,000Nm of torque — 100bhp and 170Nm more than the outgoing model.

Fancy it? Well, you’re looking at a starting price just under £450,000, and that’s before the options list comes into play…
