Mini releases 60 Years Edition to celebrate anniversary

Available on the 3-door Hatch, the limited edition trim comes with exclusive design touches.

To commemorate the iconic machine’s diamond anniversary, Mini has unveiled the 60 Years Edition for the Hatch.

Based on the Cooper S, the 60 Years Edition comes exclusively in British Racing Green for UK customers.

That paintwork is teamed with a black roof and mirrors caps, as well as exclusive bonnet stripes with the 60 Years logo and two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. Grille-mounted spot lamps will also be fitted for the UK-spec model.

Inside, the 60 Years Edition comes with further exclusive items, such as the maroon leather and green stitching upholstering the sports seats, multiple 60 Years emblems, a driver’s side puddle lamp and a sports steering wheel.

Other features added include LED headlights, fog lamps and rear lights, interior lighting pack, Mini Driving Modes and the Excitement package, as well as automatic air conditioning, rain sensor and the storage package.

2019 Mini 60 Years Edition

Based on the Cooper S engine, the 60 Years Edition has 190bhp and 300Nm of torque at its disposal, getting the Mini from 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 143mph. The engine is paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Prices start from £29,990, with deliveries due to start in March. Only 500 will be built for the UK market.
