Renault has announced pricing and specifications for the latest Megane R.S. hot hatchback.
Available to order from today, the third-generation Megane R.S. start from £27,495 and customers will get their orders delivered from July.
Under the bonnet is a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 276bhp and 390Nm of torque and that unit can be paired to either the standard six-speed manual or a dual-clutch eight-speed automatic transmission.
Whichever transmission you choose, the Megane R.S. can sprint to 60mph in just 5.6 seconds and go on to a top speed of 158mph.

For the month of May, customers can get a free upgrade from the standard Sport chassis up to the more dynamic Cup alternative that comes with a limited slip differential, red brake calipers, stiffer suspension and anti-roll bar – which would normally cost £1,500 to spec.
The Megane R.S is the first hot hatch to come with four-wheel steering, with the front and rear wheels turning in the opposite direction at speeds under 37mph for improved agility, and all wheels turn in the same direction at speeds over 37mph for high speed stability.
The Megane R.S. comes with plenty of kit, such as rear parking sensors, the Multi-Sense driving modes, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, grey 18-inch alloy wheels and dark carbon upholstery with a Nappa leather steering wheel.
Optional extras include an opening sunroof, a larger 8.7-inch touchscreen, alcantara upholstery, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, handsfree parking, rear parking camera and extra safety systems, such as blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, distance warning and automatic emergency braking.
