Seat’s Ateca crossover is now available with a new special edition FR Black Edition grade.
Sitting above the regular FR model in the range, the new Black Edition unsurprisingly gains a number of gloss black styling details – including to the door mirrors, window, grille surrounds and roof rails. It also features black 19-inch alloy wheels and side mouldings, while inside the model comes with black leather upholstery.
As well as styling upgrades, it also gains a digital cockpit, an electric driver’s seat and the Winter Pack, which includes heated front seats, a headlight washer system and a washer fluid level indicator.
Four metallic colours are available – Crystal Black, Nevada White, Velvet Red and Rhodium Grey, each being a no-cost option.
As this new grade sits near the top of the Ateca range, it’s just available with Seat’s more powerful engine – including a 148bhp 1.5-litre engine and a 187bhp 2.0-litre unit with four-wheel-drive on the petrol front.
Buyers looking for a diesel model can choose a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 148bhp or 187bhp. Seven-speed DSG automatic gearboxes are available on each engine, with only the 148bhp 1.5-litre petrol and 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel offered with a six-speed manual transmission.
Prices for the FR Black Edition start from £28,845, rising through to £35,180 for the most powerful diesel engine. It works out as £1,600 more expensive than the regular FR model and it’s available to order now.
