The automotive world was shocked when Honda unveiled its Civic hatchback concept at the Geneva show earlier this year, with its outlandish design being a complete departure from the current, rather bulbous looks of the current-gen model.
Honda has again shocked car fans by revealing images of its production Civic hatchback for the US market, which boasts a virtually unchanged concept-esque design.
The new Honda Civic Hatch design
The design of the new 2017 Honda Civic utilises sharp, sporty contours that seemingly mimic the futuristic style of the Honda NSX. The body also appears more stretched than the current Civic, eradicating its somewhat plump look.
What about the UK Honda Civic?
Although this design technically represents the US market Civic, European models are likely to be very similar – if not identical – especially when you consider that the US Civic models are built in Honda’s UK-based Swindon plant.
