New Hyundai i20 Turbo Edition offers more bang for less buck

The new i20 Turbo special edition has been unveiled, designed to celebrate the successes of the manufacturer's new 1.0-litre engine.

Hyundai has unveiled a new special edition version of its i20 supermini to celebrate the successes of its little 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine.

Called the i20 Turbo Edition, the special edition model comes with a range of extra kit and features and is on sale in the UK now, with prices starting from £12,975.

Based on the existing SE trim, the i20 Turbo gets additional bits and bobs like a rear view camera, automatic lights and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated sat-nav.

As well as that, buyers also get a seven-year TomTom Live Services subscription for free, which provides instant access to live traffic information, weather updates and speed camera alerts.

The i20 Turbo also inherits the same standard equipment as the SE, with Bluetooth, DAB digital radio and cruise control, plus a leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio and phone controls.

Riding on distinctive 16-inch alloy wheels, the i20 Turbo is available in a choice of six colours, including white, silver and grey, plus black, red and aqua blue.

Power naturally comes from the 99bhp 1.0-litre engine, which can cover the benchmark 0-62mph sprint in 10.9 seconds with CO2 emissions of a tax-friendly 104g/km.
