New Jaguar F-Type Chequered Flag special edition revealed

The new model has been introduced as a celebration for 70 years of sports cars by the brand.

To commemorate 70 years of producing sports cars, Jaguar has unveiled a special run of its current flagship – the F-Type.

Called the Chequered Flag Special Edition, it offers cosmetic upgrades to both the four-cylinder and supercharged V6 models in coupe and convertible guises.

To distinguish the special edition from the rest of the F-Type range, the Chequered Flag comes with a black contrast roof and a Windsor leather interior trim on the performance seats, as well as a dark brushed aluminium centre console trim finisher. The upholstery comes with contrast stitching in Red or Cirrus, while the seats feature and embossed chequered flag in the headrest.

It also comes with the brand’s Exterior Black Design Pack, which adds extended side sills, gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels and red brake callipers.

For the first time in an F-Type, drivers can use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the 10-inch touchscreen display, which is paired to a Meridian sound system.
