Kia has revealed the pricing for its first true sports car – the Stinger.
The coupe will have a starting price of £31,995, with the Korean carmaker offering the model in three trim levels – GT-Line, GT-Line S and GT-S.
Fitted with a 3.3-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 engine and eight-speed automatic gearbox, the range-topping GT-S has 365bhp at its disposal, allowing it to go from 0-60mph in 4.7seconds and on to a top speed of 168mph. Prices for the GT-S start from £40,495.
The other engines available to the GT-Line and GT-Line S specifications are a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that has 244bhp, as well as a 197bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel that offers excellent fuel economy of up to 50.4mpg.
Inside all versions come with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. They also come with Bluetooth, reversing camera with front and rear parking sensors, and a head-up display.
The Stinger has plenty of safety systems, including autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and driver attention warning. The GT-Line S and GT-S models also come with blind spot detection and cross traffic alert.
All models get a limited slip differential for improved handling and more control through the corners, while the top-end GT-S version comes with Brembo sport brakes. The first two specifications come with 18-inch alloys, while the GT-S has 19-inch alloys fitted as well as electronic adaptive suspension.
The interior is finished with leather upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-trimmed sports steering wheel, dual automatic air conditioning, smart cruise control and a suede roof lining.
The Kia Stinger will be available to order from January 1, 2018, with deliveries starting later next year.
