New Skoda Octavia Scout and vRS open UK orders

UK motorists can now order a new Octavia Scout or Octavia vRS. Read up on all the specs and pricing here.

The new Skoda Octavia Scout and Octavia vRS are now available to order in Britain, with pricing starting at £26,525 for the former and £25,130 for the latter. Deliveries will follow later on during the first half of this year.

Skoda’s new-generation Octavia will, like the previous model, include a more rugged, off-road centric variant called the Scout as well as a hotter performance-enhanced vRS variant.

Scout specs and pricing

The Scout, available in an estate bodystyle only, starts at £26,525 when choosing the 148bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesel. From £29,450 you can get a more potent 181bhp variant of the same engine, which uses a DSG automatic gearbox instead of the standard manual ‘box.

Four-wheel drive is standard for the new Octavia Scout, as well as full LED headlamps, leather and Alcantara upholstery, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system and heated front seats.

There’s also a wide range of safety kit onboard including Lane Assist, Trailer Assist, Park Assist and Blind Spot Detection.

vRS specs and pricing

As was the case with the previous vRS, the new version is available with both hatchback and estate variants of the Octavia. The Skoda starts at £25,130 for the hatch (£26,330 for the estate) when using the 227bhp 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine plus the standard manual gearbox. To get the same engine with a DSG gearbox costs £390 extra.

The starting price of the Octavia vRS goes up by just £30 compared to the TSI (for both body styles) if you opt for the 181bhp 2.0-litre diesel. Pricing again goes up again by £390 on top of that if you add the DSG automatic ‘box.

To get the Skoda Octavia vRS with DSG and four-wheel drive costs £28,130 for the hatchback or £29,330 for the estate.

Standard kit for the new vRS includes an eight-inch touchscreen system with sat-nav and a WiFi hotspot, 18-inch alloy wheels, sports seats and steering wheel paddles for DSG variants.

Later this year, the new vRS range will expand with a new 242bhp variant which will be the most powerful Octavia ever.
