Volkswagen has revealed pricing for the recently-revised Passat GTE.
The petrol-hybrid will be available from £36,390 in saloon form, while estate variants start at £37,920 – £1,635 cheaper than the outgoing Passat GTE.
The electrified model is fitted with a 1.4-litre petrol engine that’s paired with an electric motor and a 13kWh battery pack. The powertrain develops 215bhp and 400Nm of torque.
Volkswagen expects the GTE to account for a 25 per cent of Passat sales, and the model is now offered with 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, blue brake calipers, distinctive C-shaped LED daytime running lights and a charging point mounted in the grille.
Inside, customers will be greeted by an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Advance upgrade includes a 9.2-inch display as well as 18-inch alloys, Matrix LED headlights and an easy-open boot with keyless entry.See Available Passat deals
