The real biggie of the awards season, the 2017 Oscars ceremony, is just around the corner with the 89th Academy Awards taking place this Sunday.
Among the favourites to scoop the Best Picture award this year are feel-good musical La La Land and Mel Gibson’s new wartime epic Hacksaw Ridge, while other nominees include directors Kenneth Lonergan and Barry Jenkins and actors Denzel Washington and Casey Affleck.

Ryan Gosling - Honda Shadow
Nominated for: Leading Actor in 'La La Land'
Ryan Gosling was already a motorcycle rider before his film 'The Place Beyond The Pines' where he drove a XR 650 R Dirt Bike. He's never won an Academy Award before, but has been nominated in 2006 for Best Supporting Actor.
Denzel Washington - Range Rover
Nominated for: Leading Actor in 'Fences'
Here he is with his Range Rover, although he's also been photographed getting into an Aston Martin DBS. Denzel is hoping to add to his two Academy Awards, and has also directed two actors to an Oscar-nominated performance.
Meryl Streep - Toyota Prius
Nominated for: Leading Actress in 'Florence Foster Jenkins'
Meryl Streep is believed to be one of the many Hollywood actors that drive a Prius. Here she is photographed with the BMW Hydrogen 7 - the world’s first hydrogen car for everyday use - at the premiere for Mamma Mia. Meryl has won three Academy Awards, having been nominated an incredible 19 times previously.
Natalie Portman - Toyota Prius
Nominated for: Leading Actress in 'Jackie'
Natalie Portman is an animal rights activist, environmental advocate and a strict vegan so her choice of car is of little surprise. She is the first millennial to have won the Academy Award for Best Actress.
Andrew Garfield - MINI Cooper
Nominated for: Leading Actor in 'Hacksaw Ridge'
Andrew Garfield was actually born in LA but grew up in Surrey. Looking at his tan in this photo, it's definitely not been taken in Surrey! This is his first Academy Award nomination.
Emma Stone - MINI Cooper
Nominated for: Leading Actress in 'La La Land'
Emma Stone has a similar taste in cars to her on/off boyfriend Andrew Garfield. She is of Swedish (from her paternal grandfather), English, German, Scottish, and Irish descent. She's been previously nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
Dev Patel - Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Nominated for: Best Supporting Actor in 'Lion'
Dev Patel spent over 8 months preparing for his role in Lion. This is his first Academy Award nomination, although 'Slumdog Millionaire' won 8 Academy Awards in 2009.
Nicole Kidman - Audi Q7
Nominated for: Best Supporting Actress in 'Lion'
Nicole Kidman's husband, Keith Urban, is often spotted driving a Bugatti Veyron. Nicole, however, opts for a more subtle Audi Q7. Nicole has been nominated twice before and won a Best Actress Oscar in 2002 for 'The Hours'.
