BMW has revealed the pricing structure for the latest iteration of its Z4 sports convertible.
Offered in three different guises – Sport, M Sport and the M Performance M40i – customers have the choice of the 20i and 30i petrol units on the first two specifications.
Sport models come with black gloss detailing and 18-inch alloy wheels, while the M Sport comes with a much more dynamic look thanks to flared side skirts and lighter M 18-inch alloy wheels.
The M40i is the pinnacle of the line-up, featuring a grey finish on the kidney grille, mirror caps and other elements, as well as trapezoidal exhaust pipes and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Trimmed in leather, the heated sports seats are available in four colours – Black, Magma Red, Ivory White and Cognac – while customers can choose from two soft-top colours, Black and Anthracite, to match one of the nine exterior colour options.

For the engine choices, the 20i entry-level unit develops 194bhp and 320Nm of torque to get the Z4 from 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 149mph – while the 30i can reach a limited top speed of 155mph and get to 60mph from standstill in 5.2 seconds. The 30i unit produces 254bhp and 400Nm of torque.
The range-topping M40i uses a 3.0-litre, turbocharged six-cylinder engine to develop 335bhp and 500Nm of torque – getting the Z4 from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds and on to a top speed limited to 155mph.
Prices for the Z4 start from £36,990, which gets customers the convertible in Sport trim with the 20i engine.
