Mercedes-Benz has announced the prices and specs for its new GLC models.
Prices for the updated SUV start from £39,420 for the standard model, while the ‘Coupe’ version with sleeker styling costs from £44,045.
From launch, both GLCs will be offered with two diesel engines – the 220 d and 300 d.
Both utilise a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, along with four-wheel-drive, with the 220 d producing 191bhp and 400Nm of torque, and the 300 d having an output of 242bhp and 500Nm of torque, which enables the model to acceleration to 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds – with the Coupe being a fraction slower.
The standard GLC is offered in five trim levels – Sport, AMG Line, AMG Line Premium, AMG Premium Plus and AMG Premium Plus Ultimate. The Coupe variant ditches the Sport model, but otherwise the line-up is the same.
Sport models come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 18-inch alloy wheels, park assist with a reversing camera and the MBUX multimedia system – a new feature on the updated GLC.

AMG Line adds a sportier body kit, 19-inch alloys, sports suspension and AMG Sport seats, with the ‘Premium’ version contributing Multibeam LED headlights, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting and leather upholstery.
Premium Plus builds on this with a panoramic sunroof, a Burmester sound system and memory seats, while range-topping Premium Plus Ultimate adds full air suspension and an ‘Interior Assistant’ that organise schedules, and is essentially an advanced voice control system.
The refreshed GLC and GLC Coupe were revealed earlier in the year and feature a larger grille, new front and rear lights, alongside new interior improvements and further safety aids.

Further petrol variants and hot V8 AMG models are expected to go on sale in the near future.
The updated GLC is on sale now, with first deliveries expected in late summer.
