Pricing for facelifted Dacia cars confirmed

Dacia has confirmed full pricing and specification details for its facelifted Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan MCV. Read here for more information.

Dacia is giving its line-up of budget cars a series of updates to keep them fresh and UK pricing has now been confirmed for the refreshed models. The Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan MCV are all undergoing facelifts and a new 1.0-litre engine is added for two of these cars as well.

Pricing hasn’t changed much as Dacia are evidently keen to retain low pricing that stands out from the competition. The Sandero supermini, which is currently the cheapest new car in Britain, has the same starting price as before, so it still starts from just £5,995.

The updated Logan MCV meanwhile starts from £6,995 and the Sandero Stepway starts at £8,795.

Altered faces and smarter interiors

All of the Dacia models benefit from similar updates which were already introduced to the Duster SUV. The updates include new headlights with LED daytime running lights, plus redesigns for the grille, front bumper and lower air vents.

Interior updates for all the cars include improved cabin materials, like satin-effect chrome finish for the air vents and centre console facia, more storage areas and a redesigned four-spoke steering wheel.

New engine and extra kit

The new 74bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine introduced replaces the 1.2-litre unit (which had the same power output) previously used for the Dacias, although it isn’t actually included for the Sandero Stepway.

Said to be 10 per cent more fuel efficient, the new 1.0-litre petrol engine officially records 54.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 117g/km when used in the Sandero. In the Logan MCV, the new unit returns 52.3mpg and emits 120g/km of CO2.

While it doesn’t have the new engine, the Dacia Sandero Stepway gets some unique upgrades including different upholstery and chrome plated door handles.

In regards to equipment, all the facelifted Dacias are now available with a reversing camera and Hill Start Assist. DAB radio is also now standard for all the cars, bar Access trim models, and range-topping models get a new seven-inch touchscreen.
