Renault EVs will descend on Regent Street during annual motor show

Brand-new electric vehicles will line up alongside veteran Renaults preparing for London to Brighton run.

Renault is set to show off its latest electric vehicles at the upcoming Regent Street Motor Show.

Taking place on Regent Street in London on Saturday November 3, the motor show will see the all-electric Zoe taking pride of place – alongside the Twizy quadricycle.

The pair will be in stark contrast to the multiple pre-1905 Renault models set to take on the gruelling London to Brighton run on Sunday – an annual tradition commemorating the end of the UK’s 6mph speed limit on the roads, and open to all pre-1905 veteran cars. Renault is the official manufacturer sponsor of the world-famous event.

The latest Zoe has been upgraded with a new 108bhp electric motor, a more powerful unit than the 89bhp motor it replaces. It’s still capable of an impressive real-world range of 186 miles, and with prices starting from £18,420 is one of the most affordable EVs on the road.

Not as affordable as the Twizy, though, which starts from £6,690 on the road. Capable of 56 miles on a full charge, the Twizy is ideal for city drivers thanks to its ultra-compact proportions and tandem seating arrangement.

Renault also produces two electric vans, the Kangoo Z.E. 33 and the Master Z.E.

In addition to the electric models, Renault will be bringing a virtual reality experience to the Regent Street motor show. It’s an ASMR experience (Autonomous Sensory Meridien Response) which aims to ‘replicate the comfort and relaxation Renault Zoe drivers feel when they’re behind the wheel of their electric car.’
