Renault has confirmed UK pricing and specification details for its new Koleos SUV, which is available to order now and will rival the likes of the Ford Edge, Nissan X-Trail and Kia Sorento. With first deliveries due during the summer, the Koleos starts from £27,500.
The Renault Koleos range in the UK comprises of two trim levels and two diesel engines. The diesels include a 129bhp 1.6-litre unit linked to a front-wheel drive powertrain and a 173bhp 2.0-litre unit which utilises four-wheel drive.
A six-speed manual gearbox is standard but the 2.0-litre diesel can be mated with a seven-speed Auto X-Tronic gearbox instead. The 1.6-litre diesel records an official combined fuel economy of 57.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 128g/km, while the 2.0-litre engine returns 50.4mpg and 148g/km (or 47.9mpg and 156g/km when using the automatic ‘box).
The entry-level trim for the Koleos is the Dynamique S Nav, which starts at £27,500 with the 1.6-litre diesel or from £30,400 with the 2.0-litre diesel and 4WD.
Standard equipment is plentiful, with the likes of 18-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, part-leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof and a R-LINK2 infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen all included. The R-LINK2 system supports sat-nav, Bluetooth and smartphone apps from Android and Apple.
The higher-level trim is called Signature Nav and it starts from £29,800 with the 1.6-litre diesel or £32,700 with the 2.0-litre unit. With this trim, the infotainment system gets a 8.7-inch portrait screen.
Also featured are 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, a full leather interior and a Powered Automatic Tailgate which can be opened via a button on the car’s key or by waving a foot under the rear bumper.
