The crossover market is showing no signs of slowing down — and Renault is bringing a new contender into the action.
We don’t know a whole lot about it yet, but a teaser image shown by the French firm suggests the c-segment machine will take on the firm’s current corporate design — meaning it should have quite an elegant look to it.
Speculation suggests the car will be based on the Kaptur — a Russia-exclusive car that’s effectively a larger version of the Captur on sale in the UK — but will be available across Europe.
This new crossover will launch in Russia first — with the reveal set to take place in August at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show — with sales elsewhere to follow, expectedly in 2019. It’ll also be built in Moscow.
Enquire Now on a new RenaultThere has been no word as yet on powertrains, but expect it to take on a range of petrol and diesel options — much like Renault’s existing SUV range — with the potential for electric and hybrid drivetrains to follow on at a later date.
We can predict the new crossover will sit in the range between the Captur and Kadjar — meaning pricing should begin between £16-18k when it arrives on our shores.
