Seat has released the pricing and specification for its most exclusive model yet – the Leon Cupra R.
The Cupra R was revealed earlier this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show and is based on the Leon Cupra 300, which was the previous holder of most powerful Seat title.
Only 799 units of the Cupra R will be built – 24 of which are due to come to UK – and they all come with exclusive features, such as a retuned exhaust system, Brembo brakes and a new steering system.
Limited to 155mph, the Cupra R comes with an upgraded version of the four-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit found in the 300 – with it now producing 305bhp and is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox. This helps the R get from 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds.
Available in two paint options – monsoon grey and midnight black – the R has copper detailing throughout, with the 19-inch wheels, wing mirrors and badging coming in the metallic colour.
Inside customers will find a premium finish, including alcantara upholstery and trim, copper accents, sports steering wheel, front bucket seats and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Other high-end features include a rear-view camera, a BeatsAudio surround-sound system, adaptive cruise control, tiredness recognition system, wireless phone charging and keyless start system.
Customers are able to order the special edition model now, but you’d better be quick if you want to snap up one of the exclusive units.
