See the Aston Martin DB10 in the new SPECTRE trailer

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has released the first official full-length trailer for the new James Bond film SPECTRE, complete with a closer look at the new Aston Martin DB10.

The bespoke model, built exclusively for 007’s 24th outing, was officially unveiled in December last year, and continues the tradition of Aston Martins featuring as the ‘hero cars’ in several Bond films.

Constructed on a modified version of the same platform that underpins the V8 Vantage, the DB10 is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 which the trailer states can take it from 0-60 in an awesome 3.2 seconds.

Of course, no Bond car would be complete without a full array of gadgets and tricks, with the trailer showing the DB10 to pack bulletproof body armour and a concealed flamethrower to toast baddies.

The DB10 is due to face off against the incredible Jaguar C-X75 hypercar in a spectacular high-octane chase scene throughout the streets of Rome and on the banks of the river Tiber.

Director Sam Mendes, said: “I love the idea of this fantastic car being in a one-on-one battle with another incredible car from Jaguar, which is similarly extraordinary actually.

“So it’s a cat-and-mouse game through the night time streets of Rome, at great speed, between two of the fastest cars in the world.”

Though the DB10 is a real head turner, it’s the C-X75 which has proved the biggest talking point, thanks to its metallic orange finish and 500bhp supercharged V8 engine.

First unveiled in 2011, the C-X75 was developed as a hybrid supercar in conjunction with the Williams F1 team, but was shelved at the last minute due to the effects of the global financial crisis.

However, the SPECTRE filmmakers resurrected it as the ride of choice for Dave Bautista’s henchman Mr Hinx. Speaking from the set, Bautista said: “It’s one of those things you only see in a James Bond film.”

Alongside the C-X75, Jaguar Land Rover has also supplied the new Range Rover Sport SVR, along with a specially-modified Defender variant known as the Land Rover Defender Big Foot.

Riding on massive 37-inch off-road tyres, custom suspension and featuring enhanced body cladding, the Big Foots will feature in a scene on the snowy slopes of Austria alongside the SVR.

Along with Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover has a long history of supplying cars for the Bond films, with the Defender appearing in Skyfall, alongside the famous machine gun-equipped XKR from Die Another Day.
