Skoda at the 2018 Paris Motor Show

With the exhibition two weeks away, Skoda is preparing to show off three new production models and an innovative concept.

Skoda is getting ready to display its latest models as well as a new concept car at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, which takes place in a fortnight’s time.

The Czech brand will be showing off two previously unveiled cars, as well as an all-new performance SUV and a sporty concept.

We take a look at what Skoda will be presenting at the biennial motor show this time around…

Having released multiple previews of the model, Paris will be where Skoda finally reveals a production version of the Kodiaq vRS. As the first SUV to be given the vRS moniker, this is big step for Skoda as it looks to capitalise on the continuing popularity of sporty SUVs. Fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-litre diesel unit, the vRS is the fastest seven-seat SUV around the Nürburgring and could be a handy piece of kit when it goes on sale next year.

Vision RS

As a design task for the Czech brand, the Vision RS is a concept that will shape the future of the firm’s performance models – coming with carbon fibre detailing, an electric powertrain and sustainable materials. With a dynamic look and sharp finish, this is expected to be a preview of the replacement for the Rapid fastback.

Karoq Sportline

Based on the brand’s current mid-size SUV, the Sportline comes with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 188bhp – exclusive to the model – alongside another petrol and two diesel units. All- and front-wheel drive layouts are available to choose from, while the interior gets black sports seats with silver contrasting stitching and other dark design elements.

Off-road-angled vehicles are growing in popularity, and with the Karoq Scout SUV getting silver plastic cladding, chrome detailing and a more rugged design, it is now more suited to going on the rough stuff. Fitted with four-wheel drive and large alloy wheels as standard, the cabin of the Karoq Scout includes wood effect panels to contrast the piano black detailing and fabric seats.
