Skoda Rapid Spaceback range gets price cuts

Skoda has reduced the price of every model in its Rapid Spaceback range by over £1,000. The biggest savings for certain versions is as much as £1,905.

Skoda has announced that every model in its Rapid Spaceback range has had its price reduced by over £1,000. The new starting price subsequently is £13,500, which represents a saving of £1,300.

The Rapid Spaceback remains available with three trim levels, but the equipment levels for each one is unaffected, meaning more value for money for customers.

S remains the standard and therefore cheapest trim level and is available with either a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.4-litre diesel, both producing 89bhp. While the petrol version carries the new cheaper starting price, the S diesel is the most efficient in the family car’s line-up and is now priced from £15,300, which is £1,290 less than prior the range update.

The mid-range SE Tech trim for the Rapid Spaceback now starts from £14,650 when picking the 89bhp 1.2 petrol - meaning a saving of £1,315. Meanwhile, the range-topping SE Sport trim Rapid Spaceback is now priced from £16,550, which is £1,355 less than before.

The models with the largest price cuts are those that use the 123bhp 1.4-litre petrol with the DSG automatic gearbox, which offers a £1,905 saving. Pricing for this powertrain now starts at £16,390 for the SE Tech and £17,590 for the SE Sport.
