Skoda has shown pictures of the latest addition to the Kodiaq SUV line-up – the Laurin & Klement trim.

Named after the brand’s founders – Václav Laurin and Václav Klement – the trim is the most premium available throughout the Skoda line-up and the Kodiaq joins the Octavia and Superb to be offered with the specification.

With the high-end trim, Skoda fits a chrome grille and detailing, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and altered front and rear bumpers to the exterior, while the interior comes with brown or black leather upholstery and piano black trim.

Laurin and Klement designation is also fitted on the car’s flanks and imprinted on the seats.

Other fixtures include a multi-functional three-spoke leather steering wheel, an electrically-adjustable driver’s seat, aluminium pedals, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and a Canton surround-sound system.

The trim option comes with the choice of four engines – two petrol and two diesels – with power outputs varying from 148bhp to 187bhp. The most powerful engines get four-wheel drive as standard, while it is an optional extra with the less potent units. Skoda’s adaptive chassis control is available as an option.

Prices and full specification will be revealed in due course, with the model set to make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6.
