Skoda is set to unveil its Vision X Concept at Geneva next month showing off the brand’s new SUV design language.

The Vision X Concept features compact proportions and sharp lines and stand-out Flex Green paintwork, with a contrasting Anthracite black roof, and is said to be a ‘study’ into future SUVs.

Elsewhere, the concept gets a large panoramic glass roof and 20-inch alloy wheels, while the design was said to be inspired by “traditional Czech glasswork”.

However, the main differences are the interior, and that’s where Skoda has shown off a new design language. The main highlight is the large central touchscreen, while the atmospheric lighting effects add a smart touch to the concept’s cabin.

The Vision X fundamentally gives a glimpse to Skoda’s future crossovers. The brand aims to expand its SUV range significantly over the coming years – taking a larger chunk out of the lucrative crossover market – as part of its ‘Skoda Strategy 2025’.

The manufacturer also plans to bring out numerous electric and plug-in hybrids over the coming years, with every fourth car Skoda launches expected to be electrified.

It currently has two SUVs on sale – the larger Kodiaq and the smaller Karoq, both of which have proved to be big hits for the brand so far.
