Skoda Yeti range expands with new mid-level trims

The Skoda Yeti has received two more trim levels, which are called SE Drive and SE L Drive. They add a lot of new kit to existing mid-level trims for little extra cost.

Skoda has announced new trim levels for its Yeti SUV. They are called SE Drive and SE L Drive and they sit just above existing mid-level trims, offering more equipment than the existing SE and SE L models.

The SE Drive trim, which is based on the Skoda Yeti SE, offers the same equipment as this version plus some additions. They include dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, an auto-dimming rear view mirror and heating for the front seats and windscreen. A sat-nav system with DAB radio and parking sensors for the front and rear also feature.

The Skoda Yeti SE Drive starts from £20,095 which is £935 more than the original SE trim, but Skoda says there’s £2,295 worth of extra equipment in comparison.

SE L Drive builds upon the equipment list offered by the SE L by including bi-xenon headlamps, LED taillights and part silver roof rails for the exterior. Additions for the interior meanwhile include leather upholstery. The SE L Drive costs from £21,745 which is £755 more than the SE L trim, but Skoda says that’s less than half the value of all the extra kit offered.

Orders are open now for the new Skoda Yeti trims. Both of these trims are available with three engines to choose. There’s a single petrol unit, a 1.2-litre TSI with 109bhp, plus two 2.0-litre diesels with outputs of 109bhp and 148bhp respectively.

Four-wheel drive is available as an option for the 109bhp diesel and as standard with the 148bhp diesel. A DSG automatic gearbox is also on the options list and can replace the Yeti’s standard manual ‘box.
