Tesla CEO Elon Musk has just announced a new Easter egg feature for Tesla cars – allowing Tesla owners to play Monty Python sketches on demand via the car’s voice activated controls.
Musk announced the new feature via Twitter, stating that users needed to tap the voice command button and say “Play Monty Python” to access the hidden gem.
Just tap the voice button on the steering wheel and say "Play Monty Python" or "Navigate home" or anything. Voice commands work pretty well.

Little is known as to how the new Monty Python-themed feature works and it is unclear whether Tesla has the right to play the sketches due to copyright purposes. For now, the Monty Python feature will only work in the US, but Musk has said that it “might work in Canada”.
In the US, you can ask your Tesla to play any Monty Python (or other comedy) skit. Doesn't work outside US yet.

For this new feature to be added, Musk must clearly be a big Monty Python fan. In fact, he referred to the famous Monty Python ‘Fish Licence’ sketch on Twitter as “Possibly my favorite skit”.
Musk has added other whacky Easter eggs to Teslas in the past, most of which can be accessed by holding down the “T” button and entering a secret code.
These include a feature that transforms your Tesla on-screen into a Lotus Esprit – in homage to his love for James Bond 007 – one that turns the screen into the surface of Mars, and another that allows your Tesla to drive down Mario Kart’s classic Rainbow Road.
