The Grand Tour – the Amazon motoring show hosted by ex-Top Gear trio Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – will return for its second season this October.
The internet-exclusive car programme made its debut back in November last year, and work on the second series began not long after the last episode of the first series became available to download.
During a recent interview with the BBC’s The One Show, James May said that the first episode of the second series of The Grand Tour will be available in October.
Asked how much the show’s structure and budget had changed for the second season, May said the budget is “about the same, I would think. It is quite an expensive show to make.”
May added: “There's a lot of travel involved. There's a lot of crew involved. There's a lot of tech involved, filming in 4K. But that's boring stuff. It's going to look largely the same, but we've moved it on a bit in a way that I can't really tell you about yet.”
